Friday, October 2, 2009……Athens, GA

Hey now…just a quick note to say I will be spending the next couple of weeks catching some shows.  I’m sure that comes as no surprise since many of you are doing the same.  My current plan is to bring a sometimes different daily perspective by sharing our adventures from Charlotte all the way through Nashville.  I’m traveling in a variety of ways…and with a cast of characters… that will hopefully make those 4,000 miles seem like nothing.  I’ll reflect on our current spot in time as well as past travels, attempt to give some set list reviews and hopefully get some time from the band and crew….and some from you too.  

It all starts today…with the 4 Moore’s headed up to Charlotte late this afternoon.  Bags are packed…just waiting on my 3 riders to make it home from school.  Tomorrow, our kids will get their first ABB show….and put another WP show in the memory banks.  Anna’s pumped…she wants a Holden.  Zach’s looking forward to the backstage pinball machine. Chris and I get to spend time with some great friends….including a buddy from Richmond Hill, GA that’s bringing his barbeque from “The Smokin Pig”…..word has it that it’s the best barbeque joint in town.  Guess we’ll find out. 

I know that lots of fans from all over will be coming in for either or both of these dates.  With all of the Athens tragedies of late, we all need a big old group hug and there’s no better way to celebrate life than with friends and family and music.   As I look forward to tomorrow, now it’s time to choose some tapes….not all of them blue by the way…..and unlock my car.  We all know what’s taken us this far…..now it’s time to go get some more of it!
