Let’ Get The Show On The Road…..
Anticipation. Tough at any age. But, it’s making for some good energy today as I get in touch with friends to finalize those last minute details. I’ll head down to the venue about 4 pm with the family and hopefully find a wireless connection to upload this installment….however brief it might be today. Right now I’m hanging with my father-in-law, Harry, watching some college football. They have no cell phone, no computer, and no neighbors with wireless networks. It’s kind of nice to live in the past from time to time when we visit because it makes me realize how much the pace of our daily lives is controlled by technology.
After tonight’s show, you can walk out with a cd copy or if you didn’t make it you can link into Panicstream or anyone at the show with a cell phone and find out what they’re playing…song by song. I remember back in the day being stoked to be able to call a 900 toll number for GD setlists. And that’s still a step away from tweeting and texting. It almost makes a daily blog that focuses on the previous day’s show and adventures seem a little like old news.
Anyway, it looks like we’ve got a great day for a show. Fall has definitely arrived. I hope everyone has safe travels today…and later tonight. Time to get some last minute details taken care of….like that BBQ and then it’s on. Widespread Panic and ABB….my first taste of this combo….I can’t wait.
Horace

Thank you Horace, through your eyes I feel as though I’m back on the bus
Keep us posted and hugs to all!xoxox
Horace, this stuff is amazing! I was at both Charlotte shows, Portsmouth, and of course Merriweather post just outside of my hometown of DC. In Portsmouth last night, Colin took a photograph of me and my best friend on the front row. Do you think there is any way to get a copy of that? Keep tearin’ it up!
