what an amazing show this was. aside of the pure greatness of both sets, I remember the following:

1. bikini-clad girls serving drinks
2. odd, fake volcano entrance to the venue
3. old ship floating out back
4. schools spitting in disgust after a young kid threw a bottle on stage

I'm ashamed to admit that it is ME you hear with a horrible "whoo hoo" during JB's Diner "rap" - woops, the moment got the better of me.

along with 5/4/01, this is on my list of top music experiences of my life.

thanks

I had my bag packed and tickets in hand and ready to head over to Pelham for the Oak shows. I was pumped, until I saw the setlist and heard the nastiness that was dropped in Delaware. Most of those songs were on my radar for Oak. Oh well, later in life. I did have a feeling that the Watchtower was just a warm up for the Super Bowl of Panic shows and sure enough they brought it on the second night...Drums>Astronomy>Watchtower!!!

So that being said, can I request you stay in 2001 and the same tour and release a box set of Oak 2001 with pro-shot (jumbotron) DVD please!!

Is was such an awesome show. In retrospect 2001 was such a good year for this band, I think you could almost pick any night and find some sizzle.

One request sir: Oak Mountain 2000 and 2001, PLEASE!!

WOW, what a great show to release!! I've wanted to have this show as an official release forever. I was at the Portsmouth show, the day before (also a great show), and when I saw the setlist for Wilmington- I nw I should have made the drive up the Eastern Shore. Thanks Horace! p.s. -Not to be greedy Porch songs series rocks , but I echo the above comment- when will get multi-track archive release #5 ? Seems like last year about this time we had info.

Great Choice! I was there and a few of us recorded FOB. I was at the Beacon run. After that, I jumped over to Great Woods and Hartford for back to back Phil and Friends (The Quintet). My flight home was on Monday morning out of Newark. After an unbelievable show Saturday night, I said "there is no way Phil and Friends could top what they just played. I chose to go to Delaware Panic over the Saratoga Phil show. I went with a friend and we sat in Sunday afternoon "shore' traffic going through Jersey. I was driving and was getting frustrated. I remember saying to Ken, I better get a Dirty Business after all this BS!

We arrived about 15 minutes before they came on. He came up front when they busted into the Dirty Biz, and said "how the hell did you know"? I didn't. I got my favorite that night also, DINER. My first Watchtower as well. It was a hell of a show and as they say, "Never miss a Sunday night"!

I do remember Chris at the board, what a way to start his awesome run!
