Charlotte Food Drives – Message from JB

“Friday and Saturday June 25th and 26th, Widespread Panic concludes their Summer Tour in Charlotte, North Carolina. These shows will include a food drive to benefit the Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina. Fans are encouraged to bring non perishable goods to the shows. Most needed items are Peanut Butter, tuna, canned meat or other protein rich meals in a can like chili or beef stew. The food bank will have a table set up next to will each day of the show from 3:30 p.m. until doors and will also set up inside the venue in the concessions area before showtime and during set break.

Summertime creates an increased need for food banks around the country because children no longer have access to free or reduced school meals, often times the only meal they receive all day. In these times of spiraling gas and food prices, your contribution can make a world of difference for families on North Carolina.”
